The ability to be strategically persuasive is a valuable skill for an operative or civilian. Whether you're trying to influence a decision maker or simply get your way, being able to persuade effectively can give you the upper hand.

There are modes of persuasion that can be used in order to influence a person’s thoughts, feelings, or actions. These modes are ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos is an appeal to authority or credibility. Pathos is an appeal to emotion. Logos is an appeal to reason. Kairos is an appeal to time:
